Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) — Oklahoma City
Michele Sliger, CST, MBA, PMP
Michele Sliger is the co-author of The Software Project Manager’s Bridge to Agility. She has extensive experience in agile software development, having transitioned to Scrum and XP practices in 2000 after starting her career following the traditional waterfall approach.
A self-described “bridge builder,” her passion lies in helping those in traditional software development environments cross the bridge to agility. In keeping with this vision, she helped to establish the Project Management Institute’s Agile Community of Practice, and currently serves on their leadership council as the co-chair of chapter outreach. Michele also served as a Scrum Alliance board member from 2009 through 2011. Michele is a frequent conference speaker and regular contributor to software industry publications such as StickyMinds, Sliger is a strong advocate of agile principles and value-driven development practices.
A former adjunct graduate professor at the University of Colorado, Sliger holds an undergraduate MIS degree from the University of South Florida and an MBA from Regis University. When not working, she volunteers as a grief facilitator for teens at Judi's House, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children learn how to cope with the loss of a loved one.
"The trainers really put a lot of thought on how to make this course interesting. And I think they succeeded."Stone, Ericsson
"If you are planning on moving to a Scrum/Agile development team you need to begin with this type of training."Kuenn, Jack and Henry & Associates
"This course brought the concepts of Agile/Scrum methodology in an involved way. The presentations were limited to a few slides and the practices discussed were then proven in a way to help us understand them through doing, not simply reading. I enjoyed this class thoroughly and would recommend it to my peers."Mike, Scientific Research Corporation
"The hands-on exercises, training materials and instructor's knowledge makes this a can't miss training session for those that want to learn Scrum."Ed, Level 3 Communications
"This course was very useful for me to be better prepared to do my job more effectively. This course highlights how Agile/Scrum can truly be useful regardless of role."David, Version One
