Certified Scrum Professional®-Product Owner (CSP®-PO) is an in-depth, two-day immersion into the world of Scrum and the role of a professional Product Owner. The class provides a deep dive into Product Strategy. From customer discovery and development to business models and competitive analysis, this class explores the role of the Product Owner and how they help launch new teams, work with their stakeholders on planning and forecasting and work with multiple teams on their backlogs.

Filled with real-world examples from the Braintrust Consulting Group and attendees’ experiences, you’ll leave this class with practical tools and techniques that can be implemented immediately at your workplace.

Certified Scrum Professionals challenge their teams to improve the way Scrum and Agile principles are applied. CSP®-POs have demonstrated experience, documented training, and proven knowledge in Scrum.

Michele Sliger, CST, MBA, PMP

Michele Sliger is the co-author of The Software Project Manager’s Bridge to Agility. She has extensive experience in agile software development, having transitioned to Scrum and XP practices in 2000 after starting her career following the traditional waterfall approach.

A self-described “bridge builder,” her passion lies in helping those in traditional software development environments cross the bridge to agility. In keeping with this vision, she helped to establish the Project Management Institute’s Agile Community of Practice, and currently serves on their leadership council as the co-chair of chapter outreach. Michele also served as a Scrum Alliance board member from 2009 through 2011. Michele is a frequent conference speaker and regular contributor to software industry publications such as StickyMinds, Sliger is a strong advocate of agile principles and value-driven development practices.

A former adjunct graduate professor at the University of Colorado, Sliger holds an undergraduate MIS degree from the University of South Florida and an MBA from Regis University. When not working, she volunteers as a grief facilitator for teens at Judi's House, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children learn how to cope with the loss of a loved one.

"Interactive class that presents a lot of information which is not overwhelming and has a lot of good and interesting exercises."

Andrea, Wika Instrument, LP

"The last two days I attended the Scrum Alliance Certified Agile Leadership (CAL) Credential 1 course taught by Anu Smalley, CST from The Braintrust Consulting Group. It was a great training with several other seasoned Agile Leaders who are creating change in their teams and organizations. I was reminded that real change takes executive sponsorship, careful consideration, and willing team members. Companies who are committed to putting in the time and allowing the right people to get in the right seats can transform the way an organization delivers. I'm looking forward to using these Agile principles as I build a team who will thrive on a culture of process and system improvement."

Chris H., Global IT Solutions
